Snack – Steamed Japanese Sweetcorn
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
- 2 ears sweetcorn, husked
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- Steam corn 6–8 minutes until tender.
- Sprinkle lightly with salt and serve warm.
Prep Notes:
- Cook ahead and reheat briefly, or serve chilled.
Variation Ideas:
- Japanese: Brush with a tiny bit of tamari before serving.
- Korean: Cut kernels off and mix with a few sesame seeds.
- Thai: Serve with a few Thai basil leaves (no chili).
